This Blog will follow the non motorized crossings of the United States by a retired Conservation Officer who worked 30 years in law enforcement. The crossings are challenges for the author and fulfill a life long committment to maintaining a healthy life style through non motorized aerobic activities. The crossings provide an exciting way to see our great country and will hopefully inspire the reader to plan a "crossing" of their own, even if it does not entail crossing the entire country.

Hello from the other Thielen's. We are excited to follow your trip. The pictures look great and we hope your trip stays dry. Best of Luck and blessings from JIm, Sandy and Luke.
Hi Pat and Jeff, Glad to see you two made it to the beginning of your trip. So far, you have missed 2 or maybe 3 snow storms at home. I/ve lost count. Hope the weather there cleared up and you are hiking in sunny weather. Deb G.
Hi you guys! I hope it's been a good week, not too wet, not too cold! We had a nice four days in DC with Martina. The temps were in the fifties with sunshine. If you get some of that, you'll do well. Can't wait to hear your next entry. I went for a walk with Booner after dinner last night and missed stopping by.
Take care,
JoAnn

Hi Patty and Jeff,
I'm following your trip and it sounds amazing. I am jealous as I wish I were there. Maybe when I'm 65
All is well in Little Falls. We just miss a major snowstorm this weekend. Ely received 32 inches, Bemidji 24, Park Rapids 12. Most schools closed from Sebeka north.
